SEWA Charitable Foundation started by helping borrowers and guarantors in financial distress.
Everything is fine when going is good and borrowers pay back their loans on time. However, the situation becomes exactly the opposite when their businesses or, income sources are in trouble leading to problems with loan servicing. When such a dreadful thing happens in their lives all fine prints of loan agreements and loopholes of the legal system come out. An unprepared, financially stressed person faces unprecedented highhandedness from various financial institutions.
Believe it or not most of the solutions to these woes are also in those fine prints and legal procedures. When somebody seeks our help on such matters we try to guide them. We are not lawyers. We are simply very smart people trying to prevent what is preventable – liquidation of borrowers’ and guarantors’ assets at throwaway prices.
